The Bell County Recovery Program offers an alternative educational setting for students between 14 to 21 years of age.The Recovery Program also serves as the Bell County School System's alternative placement for student work at an individualized pace, utilizing the most progressive computerized curriculum available. Each classroom houses an innovative technology lab with six (6) networked computers and Jefferson modules components. These programs meet a minimum standard requirement as determined by the Kentucky Educational Technology System including network capabilities with INTERNET access. Students who are unable to be successful in the traditional school setting are offered a positive alternative setting, with much individualized tutoring and monitoring. This program began in 1990 with 1 teacher and 20 dropouts at our high school. We now occupy our own building with 4 teachers and 45 students.
